Glazed cilinder house is the concept following ideas of Demaxion house from B. Fuller or Lautner's Taschen house – minimalize vertical part of construction to one central leg allows panaromatic views from each level around. Into the leg we situated an elevator, so the connections from the basement garage to each room are stright. On the glassed facades we designed prints from photographs of the surrounding garden.
Project had 3 alternatives: glassed cilinder, stacked boxes and underground basin – after long-term development non was acceptable by the client - he choose standard, 2 storey orthogonal modernist concept from collegues studio.
